1. Homefuels Direct Ltd Website
1.1 The Web Site www.homefuelsdirect.co.uk is operated by Homefuels Direct Limited. Homefuels Direct is a service to users of Domestic home heating oil, providing competitive prices for heating oil and related products and services.
1.2 These terms will apply to all transactions on this website, whether ordering online or by telephone.
1.3 Our services, information or data (collectively, \"Information\") made available at the Homefuels Direct website are provided \"as is\", without warranties of any kind.
1.4 By making any purchase from a supplier featured on the Homefuels Direct website, you are accepting that Homefuels Direct terms and conditions. Neither Homefuels Direct, nor its management or employees accept any responsibility for any liability resulting from any omissions or inaccuracies of any information including price quotations presented by the companies offering products or services featured on this website, or for any complaints relating to those services, products or information.
1.5 Use of any hyperlinks that may be used on the Homefuels Direct website is at members’ own risk.
1.6 Use of this website deems acceptance of these terms and conditions by the user.
2. Terms & Conditions for Members – Homefuels Direct Ltd
2.1 Homefuels Direct is not an oil distribution company. Homefuels Direct provides an online service enabling users (members) to get a quote and place an order for heating oil with participating suppliers. Payments are made with/on the Homefuels Direct website, we then instruct the supplier to deliver the oil and we settle payment with the supplier once they have confirmed delivery of the oil.
2.2 Individuals become a Homefuels Direct member by obtaining a quote, placing an order, or registering their details on the Homefuels Direct website. Members can unsubscribe from Homefuels Direct at any time.
2.3 Membership is free with Homefuels Direct and will not request financial or bank details from its members other than during the ordering process.
2.4 Homefuels Direct will provide registered members with the best quote from oil supply companies in their area who are registered with Homefuels Direct. There is no obligation to accept the quote.
2.5 A member accepts a quote by completing the online order form and supplying credit or debit card payment details.
2.6 Once payment has been cleared through the HSBC secure banking system, the order is passed to one of our suppliers which will deliver the requested amount of oil at the price quoted as shown on the order acknowledgement email. The price quoted will be confirmed in the order confirmation email and can be viewed on the member’s “account” page of the Homefuels Direct website.
2.7 The appointed supplier will deliver on behalf of Homefuels Direct. unforeseen circumstances such as accidents, breakdowns, floods, storm, etc can not be not be attributed to Homefuels Direct or is suppliers
2.8 Homefuels Direct will not be deemed in breach of these terms and conditions as a result of any delay in delivery which is caused by or due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control including, but not limited to, fire, flood and other acts of God, strikes, riot, accident, disruption to energy supplies, civil commotion, acts of terrorism or war, breakdown of equipment, road traffic problems.
2.9 Homefuels Direct will protect the privacy of its members and will not pass on personal details to third parties. Only delivery details will be passed to suppliers once an order is confirmed.
2.10 Homefuels Direct has the right to refuse to process an order if payment cannot be made.
2.11 Homefuels Direct has the right to decline or cancel an order without prejudice and without liability.
2.12 The responsibility for all aspects of quality, safety and accuracy of the delivery service rests with the oil Supplier Company and not Homefuels Direct.
2.13 Deliveries are booked on the condition that there is safe and reasonable access. Members are expected to provide information about any special delivery conditions when the order is placed.
2.14 Deliveries cannot be made to tanks/fill points that do not meet the statutory requirements or are deemed unsafe.
2.15 Refunds to members will be made where the volume of oil delivered was less than that ordered or when an order was cancelled in accordance with clause . Refunds will be processed on the same card used for the original transaction.
2.16 Where it has not been possible to deliver the full amount ordered because the ordered volume was significantly in excess of the tank’s capacity to take the ordered volume, Homefuels Direct reserves the right to amend the price per litre payable to reflect the appropriate price band for that volume of oil.
3. Terms and Conditions of Sale of Goods - Homefuels Direct Shop
3.1 These terms apply only to the sale of goods from Homefuels Direct Shop and do not relate to orders for heating oil.
3.2 Once payment has been cleared through the HSBC secure banking system, the order is passed to the supply company which will deliver the product at the price quoted.
3.3 The responsibility for all aspects of quality and safety of the delivery service and the product rests with the Supply Company and not Homefuels Direct.
3.4 In accordance with UK law you have a 7 day \"cooling off\" period in which you have the right to cancel your purchase and receive a full refund in exchange for the return of the goods in the same condition they were received. This \"cooling off\" period starts the day after you receive the goods. On receiving the returned goods we will refund your payment in full. The cost of returning the goods to us cannot be refunded.
3.5 Homefuels Direct cannot accept liability for goods lost or damaged during transit from you to us. You are advised to wrap the product carefully to avoid damage. You are also advised to return goods by recorded delivery, registered post or by courier. Proof of postage will not be accepted as proof of delivery. Please remember to give us your name, address and contact telephone number.
4. Terms and Conditions ofSale – Boiler/Aga Servicing
4.1 These terms apply only to the booking of boiler/aga servicing through Homefuels Direct and do not relate to orders for heating oil or other products or services.
4.2 Members can use the Homefuels Direct website to obtain a no obligation quote for a boiler service.
4.3 If a member wishes to proceed with a service obtained via the website, details of their request will be passed to a local boiler service engineer who will contact them to arrange a mutually suitable time for the service to be undertaken. If this cannot be arranged the order is cancelled with no fee payable.
4.4 Prices are set by the service engineer/company. The final charge will depend on the work carried out and replacement parts installed.Homefuels Direct cannot accept liability for any issues arising from the charges for a service.
4.5 Payment for a boiler/aga service is made to Homefuels Direct
4.6 The responsibility for all aspects of quality and safety of the boiler/aga service rests with the service engineer or Service Company and not with Homefuels Direct.
Prize Draw Terms & Conditions.
1. By entering the prize draw you are accepting these terms and conditions and agreeing to be bound by them.
2. The prize draw is promoted by HomeFuels Direct Limited. HomeFuels Direct, National Customer Support Centre, 70-74 Brunswick Street. TS18 1DW
3. The decision of HomeFuels Direct is final on all matters relating to this prize draw and these terms and conditions, and no correspondence will be entered into in this regard.
4. You must make a purchase of heating oil (kerosene) in order to participate in this prize draw.
5. Participation in this prize draw is open to persons who are 18 years and over.
6. Employees of HomeFuels Direct Ltd and also any immediate family members or co-habitants of such employees, are not eligible to enter the prize draw.
7. Entries received from November 5th 2015 up to December 31st 2015 - 11pm will be entered into the draw. The draw will take place on Tuesday January 5th 2016 and the winner will be contacted by e-mail on wednesday 6th January 2016.
8. The winner of the draw will receive an IPAD Air. No cash or other alternative can be requested by the winner and proof of identity may be required to collect the prize.
9. By accepting the prize, The winner agrees that HomeFuels Direct may publish their name and location in any media in connection with the prize draw. The name of the winner will be available on written request to HomeFuels Direct.
